My brother complained once to the manager before our food arrived. His was late to the table, and our mother's steak was raw and cold when she ordered it well done. They took it back and finally brought my brother's food. When her steak returned, it was still raw, and she refused anything else. The waitress made the excuse "the kitchen staff are super busy, and trying their best". She went to get the manager again who said he would take my mother's order off, and half of my brother's order. She then turned back to say she wasn't going to take off my brother's until it was pointed out how he had been treated. She huffed and gave the full order off. The waitress then ignored us for the remainder of our meal, focusing on other customers and zipping past our table.
I'm not a fan of Tex-Mex. So my rating isn't fair. I did find non spicy items. Actually, my son picked food out for me. Staff is friendly, menu is big. Chilli's can't be missed. Big restaurant on the corner. Give it a try.
So for a chain restaurant, the food is good, what you would expect. The service isn't the best as they usually have plenty of tables open yet take forever to seat you. Servers are usually nice though. Really just stop in here for the buy one get one, only beer though (at least you know what you're getting as opposed to watered down drinks).
Ate here twice. The first time was amazing and made me want to go back. The second time however.
My steak was fine, but they were out of broccoli and cauliflower. They substituted green beans that tasted like they had been freshly gardened that same hour. As in ripped from the dirt, steamed a second, and slapped on a plate. The waitress seemed more preoccupied in offering us more alcohol than food or much of anything else. Very drastic change from the first visit.
Service was okay but I was waited on by other people more than my own server. She never came by, I had to ask for my check and the food was mediocre. Being a server myself, I understand demands bit we work off tips. If you're not working, what tip do you think you're getting?
We arrived and were seated quickly. Three of us ordered alcohol while our designated driver ordered a tea. The waitress kept trying to make me try a drink that I didn't want, and continued on and on until I finally said fine. It was disgusting and nothing like the drink I had wanted. She ignored my brother (the designated driver) about his tea, bringing our drinks first and leaving his for fifteen minutes after we had ours. She also neglected to bring out his starter salad and later found out, she never took the order.
The restaurant needs some TLC. The floor was dirty, tiles and wall paint were cracked and peeling, even dirty in some spots. The bathroom was a disaster. That being said food was up to Chili’s standard. I don’t see going back for a visit if I have to. Happy hour drink special was served in a glass that made it like buying one over priced drink. Food was overvalued for what we got. Chicken fajitas... $15.00. Less than half of a chicken breast.
Adding this review because of a recent visit....
Excellent server staff. Good selection and great tasting food. Only complaint is that the chips and salsa, which used to be free in the bar area, no longer are.
