I have been in and out of Melbourne for over 20 years consistently. I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel 3 days last week.
First and foremost this hotel is underrated.

Stayed during Irma...Thank you so much for making our 2 night stay comfortable. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. And Hotel never lost power! And breakfast was Fantastic! Even the freshly baked cookies in lobby that were their for most of our stay, and fresh brewed coffee always available in Lobby. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.
I have stayed at 3 stars witihn 3 miles that were not as good as the Quality Inn.
The manager Erin gives the impression you are old neighbors seeing each other again.
Went to hang with my sister and her girlfriend for a bit (they rented the room for vacation). The room smelled musty. At some point, you could smell cigarette smoke in the room. The tv stand wasn't center with the separate beds. There was just a string of small things as mentioned that made me terribly disappointed. This place feels like it could offer so much more but instead went out of the way to be a disappointment. It is ill-advised of travelers to stay here.
I will stay when I come back to the area.
