As a home-based worker, I rarely have need of a car. When I needed to rent a car for a few weeks due to an auto accident, I came to Enterprise. They rented me a car for almost 4 weeks. For the entire time I had it, I drove it for less than 90 miles. if I wasn't driving it from their location or to their location, I went to the grocery store a couple of times. The rest of the time, the car sat in my garage.
I didn't know the cause for sure, but when I showed the guy at Enterprise, I told him, "Hey, you should tell your cleaning crew to do a better job. This car sat in my garage the entire time I had it, and I guess being in a warm, dark, humid environment it started growing mold or something where ever the last guy touched it" and I pointed to him all the places where the mold seemed to be concentrated in places someone would touch. His response was something along the lines of "Oh my! We'll get it checked out."
Quality driven customer service, very professional and courteous. An excellent service driven company that is always pursuing innovation, cost-effectiveness, quality-service and customers' satisfaction. Always an enjoyable experience with a company that is always improving.
They are now trying to claim a TOTAL LOSS for the vehicle against my insurance company - an apparent loss with which I had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO.
Definitely book with these individuals if you want to wait for an hour while they clean a vehicle that is NOT the vehicle you requested. I called multiple times over the course of a week and coordinated a van with them to replace our van while it was repaired. It was in their system and the representative confirmed it. Come pick up time, "There are no vans available...would you like to wait for an hour while we clean an SUV instead?" They confirmed that it says 'VAN' in the reservation that has been on their record for almost 2 weeks. Never again.
I've been a client of this particular location for several years. Each and every time I interact with this team, they truly have a "hands on, can do" approach! In my opinion, the professionalism of the entire staff simply reflects on how incredibly talented the leadership/management group is. Today, I had the pleasure of meeting the Branch Manager; Karin Pervell. She took the time to personally interact with me regarding specific questions/concerns I had in reference to my billing inquiries. Her willingness to go the extra mile for her clients honestly separates the overall experience between competition within the vehicle rental industry. Thank you guys for all that you do!
Either way, what they are doing to me is wrong, if not completely unethical. ***DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS!*** Fair warning... Take it from someone who is being taken advantage of when all he tried to do was the right thing.
A week later, I get a call back from someone at Enterprise telling me that they are filing a claim against me and my insurance company for total loss of the vehicle! They are trying to claim that the car suffered "under- the-car water damage" and that I am at fault!!! There is simply no way that is true. So, I figure thee can only be a couple of possibilities: (1) They (knowingly or unknowingly through lack of thorough inspection) rented me a car that already had hidden water damage, and decided to penalize me - the good Samaritan - for pointing out the problem when visible symptoms started to show, or (2) they switched plates with a same model car on their lot that got damaged during Hurricane Irma or something.
The person that took care of us was very helpful. She made my wife and I feel very comfortable almost like old friends. I never knew renting a car could be such a pleasent experience.
When I went to return their car to them, it had been sitting in my garage for over a week. I got into the car and noticed there was a white powdery looking substance all over the steering wheel, the console, the dash, and the seat belt strap mostly concentrated in areas where someone would touch. For all the world, it looked like someone ate powdered donuts and then climbed into the car.
